Digital distribution
Our in-house video-on-demand agency, Release Company, licenses content to the appropriate VoD platforms tailored to specific target groups — from transactional offerings to subscription-based streaming services to ad-supported services. Through long-term partnerships and extensive collaborations, we ensure that our programs are available exactly where they reach their audience.
TV sales
We distribute selected programs worldwide for broadcast on free-to-air and pay TV. Our portfolio ranges from fictional highlights and moving documentaries to entertainment formats and children’s programs from the ARD universe and independent rights holders.
DVD and Blu-ray
For selected content, Release Company produces high-quality physical releases on DVD and Blu-ray. This gives classics, audience favorites, and special film gems an additional platform — lovingly prepared and available for collectors and film enthusiasts. In addition to our own releases, we license physical exploitation rights for WDR films and series to selected partners in order to make popular formats such as Rockpalast even more widely accessible.
